Betting Tips: Third Round Of World Cup Qualifiers

The third round of the African FIFA World Cup qualifiers continue tomorrow as Mali face off against Cote D’Ivoire. Going into this encounter, Ivory Coast seem to be in the better form and will  look to take advantage of a Mali team that has only collected two points.

Uganda will take on Ghana this Saturday, October 7. The Black Stars will be hoping to secure all three points to add to the nine that they have already collected. However, the Ugandans will be no walkover.

In Europe, Turkey will battle it out against Iceland on Friday, October 6. With two points separating the two sides in their group, the Turks will be looking to close the gap on the points system.

Mali vs. Ivory Coast

FIFA Ranking: Mali 67th & Ivory Coast 54th

Useful Facts:Mali have struggled to get a win and have lost twice in the World Cup qualifiers. They only have two points, both gained from their draws against Gabon and Morocco respectively. Ivory Coast lead the group standings with seven points and have scored seven goals apiece so far.

Uganda vs. Ghana 

(Word Cup Qualifiers Third Round)

Group Standings: Uganda 2nd & Ghana 3rd 

FIFA Ranking: Uganda 71st & Ghana 52nd

Useful Facts: Uganda could see themselves top of the table after this round of fixtures, with only two points separating them from group leaders Egypt. The Pharaohs have nine points, while Uganda are on their trail with seven points. The Cranes will hope to display the same spirit they had when they upset Egypt 1-0 at home. Ghana, who have scored five goals, have collected nine points and top the group and. In attack, the Black Stars have lethal strikers in the form of Andrew Ayew and Raphael Dwamena.

Turkey vs. Iceland 

(World Cup Qualifiers First Round)

Group Standings: Turkey 3rd & Iceland 2nd 

FIFA Ranking:Turkey 27th & Iceland 22nd

Useful facts:Turkey won their last World Cup qualifier, beating group leaders Croatia. Both are equal in terms of the number of goals – 12. . Turkey have 14 points and are in third position in the group, behind Iceland who have 16 points. Meanwhile, Iceland is in second spot, separated by one goal from group leaders Croatia. They registered a positive result in their last encounter, beating Ukraine 2-0. Iceland will look to the likes of Jon Daoi Boovarsson to get them the goals.
