Bucs Welcome Highlands Back To The PSL, While The KZN Derby Fires Up!
The ABSA Premiership 2018/19 season is officially commencing tomorrow, Saturday, August 4. With all the clubs in action in the first round of PSL fixtures, the supporters will be glued to their screens.
On Saturday evening all roads lead to the Orlando Stadium where the Buccaneers will welcome Highlands Park back into the elite league. While, on Sunday, the KZN derby will be in full view as Maritzburg United take on Golden Arrows.

Useful facts: The Buccaneers have had a full pre-season under head coach Milutin Sredojevic and assistant Rhulani Mokwena where the technical team look to improve on last season’s second spot finish. Apart from the pre-season preparations, the club also added in some much-needed quality to reinforce all the departments. On the other hand, Highlands Park come into the league having taken the NFD by storm, winning the title with five league games in hand. They will be hoping to stamp their authority against the Sea Robbers.

Useful facts: Golden Arrows will be travelling up to the Harry Gwala stadium in search of three points to add into their bag in their KZN derby match against Maritzburg United. Abafana Bes’thende have also added in some experience into their team with right-back Siyanda Zwane making a comeback to the club on a loan deal from Mamelodi Sundowns. The Team of Choice will, however, be confident knowing that they will be playing in front of their home supporters and many will be eager to see the likes of new recruits, Keagan Buchanan and Denwin Farmer making an appearance for the boys in blue.
