The underdogs in this year’s FIFA World Cup event in Russia are grabbing the headlines as we have seen giants bowing out from the tournament in the group stages. Yesterday, Germany found themselves on their way back home after suffering a 2-0 defeat to South Korea.

Today, the final matches of the group stage round take place.

Senegal v Colombia

Match 6 Soccer 6 Pool 27 June S6 V3 P1

Useful facts: Group H encounters take place at 16h00 as Senegal take on Colombia. The Senegalese are second on the standings, however, they are on level points with Japan. They will be hoping to secure all three points against their opponents and will be crossing the fingers that Poland can hold Japan to a loss or a draw.

Marshall Munetsi: Senegal

England v Belgium

Match 1 Soccer 6 Pool 28 June S6 V1 P1

Useful facts: The late match for the day sees England face Belgium in what promises to be a spectacular match. It is a top of the group clash in Group G, as both countries are locked on six points each. Harry Kane and Romelu Lukaku will be key individuals for England and Belgium, respectively. However, both countries are guaranteed a move to the next round as Tunisia and Panama have not collected any points.

Marshall Munetsi: Draw
