FC Porto v Leicester City
(Champions League)

League Rankings:Porto 3rd (Primeira Liga) & Leicester 15th (Premier League)

Useful facts: Don’t be fooled by Leicester’s poor run in the Premier League and believe that their form is carrying over to Europe, because the Foxes have yet to lose in the Champions League, with only one draw away from home keeping them from a perfect record in the group stages. Part of their great record, of course, came from a 1–0 win at home to their opponents in this game, who have won only twice in the group stages.

Given Mashikinya: FC Porto.

Lyon v Sevilla (Champions League)

League Rankings: Lyon 6th (Ligue 1) & Sevilla 3rd (La Liga)

Useful facts: In the last two matches between these teams, Lyon were unable to record a win. With only two wins in the competition this season, the French club need to get one here if they are to have any hopes of remaining in the Champions League. But, with Juventus four points ahead, Lyon’s place in the round of 16 will have to come at the expense of their opponents. However, with Sevilla having lost only once in Europe this season, that outcome seems unlikely.

Given Mashikinya:Draw.

Real Madrid v Borussia Dortmund (Champions League)

League Rankings: Real Madrid 1st (La Liga) & Dortmund 6th (Bundesliga)

Useful facts: Only one thing stands between Real Madrid matching their longest ever unbeaten run of 34 matches in all competitions - Borussia Dortmund. However, Zinedine Zidane’s men have something else to motivate them – their quest to finish top of the group - and nothing but a win will do. Qualification is guaranteed for both teams and a record of two wins apiece and two draws indicate that we’re set for a close encounter.

Given Mashikinya: Real Madrid, definitely.

Bayer Leverkusen v Monaco (Champions League)

League rankings: Bayer 9th (Bundesliga) & Monaco 2nd (Ligue 1)

Useful facts: All signs point to a Monaco victory here, with the French club performing better in the league, winning more Champions League games this season and with a historical record of two wins, one draw and no defeats in their last three games against their German opponents. However, Leverkusen have drawn six of their last seven Champions League matches and a draw could easily be on the cards here.

Given Mashikinya: Leverkusen.
