Reneilwe Letsholonyane’s contract with Highlands Park is up at the end of the season and his agent has now opened up on his future.
The Siya crew previously reported that ‘Yeye’ spent four weeks training with the Lions of the North before penning a one-year deal with the club in 2019.
The 37-year-old will see his contract with the Tembisa outfit expire at the end of the 2019/20 campaign, though it remains to be seen whether Yeye has done enough to convince the club to renew his deal, as all talks are currently on hold with the club.
The former Kaizer Chiefs and SuperSport United midfielder was brought in by Owen Da Gama to add much needed experience and steel to his midfield. So far, the former Kaizer Chiefs man has made 14 appearances in all competitions.
Speaking to the media earlier this year, Da Gama revealed that although he cannot push Yeye as he would an 18-year-old, he is convinced that the player could play beyond the 2019/20 season if managed correctly.
The player’s representative Steve Kapeluschnik revealed that all talks regarding the player’s future are currently on hold.
“Look Yeye’s contract is up at the end of the season. The club are not doing business at the moment, but we should have a clearer picture soon. With Covid-19, we know what the situation is,” Kapeluschnik told the Siya crew.
