Mamelodi Sundowns are yet to announce Toni Silva’s signature despite the player revealing that he has put pen to paper.
The Siya crew broke the news of Sundowns interest in adding the player to their books, with it being added at the time that Cape Town City were also looking at luring the player to their camp.
It was thereafter revealed by the crew that Sundowns agreed to a deal in principle with Silva, with the 24-year-old recently confirming that he put pen to paper with the Brazilians.
According to sources, the Guinea-Bissau winger will be cashing in on a lucrative deal with Sundowns, said to be around R3 million per annum.
Sources have added that Silva’s deal could run for three seasons, although it is believed that there may be clauses set in his contract.
The Brazilians are yet to announce the player’s signature, with indications that they may be waiting until the July/August transfer window, where they will also be deciding on which foreigner should make way for Silva.
