What Next For Mamelodi Sundowns Defender?
The immediate future of one of Mamelodi Sundowns’ defenders is currently of much speculation as Head Coach Pitso Mosimane is set to make a decision on several Masandawana players who have returned from their loan stints.
The Siya crew revealed last week that Mario Booysen is eager for game time in the new 2017/18 season, following his impressive performances while captaining Bafana Bafana during the country’s two-legged win in the Chan qualifiers against Botswana this month.
However, with the domestic campaign set to be underway next month, August, a decision about the next step of Booysen’s professional football career is yet to be made by the Masandawana management.
The 28-year-old centre back was previously on the books of SuperSport United on loan, winning back-to-back Nedbank Cups under the mentorship of Head Coach Stuart Baxter.
Now, with the Sundowns’ first team set to return to club duty, it remains to be seen whether Booysen will be added to Head Coach Mosimane’s plans for the new season.
