Chiefs Earmark Varsity Star For Naturena Switch?

Kaizer Chiefs are believed to be considering a move for one of the University of Johannesburg midfielders that shone in the recent Varsity Football tournament.
According to Siya sources, the Glamour Boys are keeping a close eye on Hassan Makhubela after seeing what he could do during the competition over the last few weeks, and see him as a potential signing for their Multichoice Diski Challenge side.
Makhubela isn’t the only one to impress though, with Wits University goalkeeper, Matthew Carelse, has already reportedly landed himself a professional contract with Bidvest Wits following his role in helping his side reach the final of the competition, while Tebogo Mandyu – also of UJ – started training with the Clever Boys earlier this month.
Kudakwashe Kasunzuma, of LeZ Sports Management, confirmed that they had received enquiries regarding Makhubela and another of his players, Banele Hlophe of North-West University, have both Absa Premiership and National First Division teams keeping tabs on them.
As reported in this week’s issue of Soccer Laduma, while Kasunzuma wouldn’t reveal which teams were interested, the crew have been informed that Polokwane City are keen on both, while TS Sporting and Maccabi FC like the look of Hlophe and Chiefs see Makhubela as a possible addition to their MDC squad.
