Givemore Khupe, who is part of the current U20 setup at the FIFA World Cup in Poland, and Solly Khunyedi, a player who is believed to have just missed the cut, are expected to fly out to Europe in the near future to have a training spell with a Primeira Liga outfit.
Vitoria de Guimaraes, where both Bongani Zungu and Haashim Domingo used to play, are thought to be keen on taking a closer look at the young Clever Boys, with their current club seemingly happy to let them go and strut their stuff in Europe.
Khupe, a 19-year-old defender, and young attacker, Solly Khunyedi, have impressed in the club’s youth setup in recent years, with the former playing 12 senior games for Cape Umoya United in the National First Division and the latter breaking into Wits’ first team under Gavin Hunt.
While the timing of when the duo will leave, or how long they will get to impress in Portugal, remains to be seen at this point, the Siya crew is led to believe that they will be jetting out in the not-so-distant future if all goes to plan.
