A former Orlando Pirates defender is likely to become a free agent after falling down the pecking order at his current club.
Since the arrival of Jozef Vukusic at AmaZulu, Tshepo Gumede played only the first two matches under the Slovakian coach, and has been out of the picture.
AmaZulu signed Mario Booysen to strengthen their central defence, with Gumede appearing to be no longer in the plans at the KwaZulu-Natal outfit.
Following AmaZulu's 0-0 draw with Maritzburg United at King Zwelithini Stadium on Sunday, Vukusic confirmed to the media that Gumede is no longer in the plans of the team.
Gumede, 28, has been with Usuthu since February this year, having joined the club as a free agent.
He has previously also played for Platinum Stars and Cape Town City, among other clubs in his career.
