Transfers That Still Could Happen In The January Transfer Window

The January transfer window is currently in full swing, with the likes of Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs making a few big-name signings. Here are some of the transfers could potentially still happen before the window closes on January 31.

Khama Billiat, Brilliant Khuzwayo, Keagan Buchanan, Mogakolodi Ngele, Thela Ngobeni, Vincent Pule and Xola Mlambo are some of the players that have been linked with a move to other clubs during the current transfer window.

As reported previously by the Siya crew, Maritzburg United’s chairman, Farook Kadodia informed the crew that there are no offers on his table for the services of their star player, Evans Rusike, despite recent reports suggesting that Chiefs are keen on landing the player.

However, the chairman did reveal that overseas-based clubs have enquired about the player’s services and there is still one more week for any interested suitor to put in an offer for Rusike.

Sundowns Thabo Nthethe is also being linked with a move away from the Brazilians, with Orlando Pirates believed to be eyeing the player.

Pirates are also believed to be keen on Bidvest Wits Xola Mlambo, with a move away from the Students hot on the cards for the player.

The immediate future of Billiat is still hanging in the air at Sundowns, with the player currently in the final six months of his contract and the likes of Chiefs and Pirates all believed to be showing a keen interest in the player.

Now, it remains to be seen which of the above-mentioned transfers will materialise before the window closes on January 31.

According to The Citizen source, the Soweto giants have been working tirelessly to beef up the squad with the Transfer Window set to close on the 31st of January 2018. Al Ahly forward Phakamani Mahlambi, who joined the Egyptian giants last August, and KV Oostende midfielder Andile Jali could reportedly join Pirates this week. “There will be a big and surprise announcement this week," a source said on the publication. "I don’t know who the players are but they could be Andile Jali and Phakamani Mahlambi. Jali will be returning home while Mahlambi has always said he wants to play for Pirates,” the source concluded. The deepthroat also claimed that Pirates could get Jali and Mahlambi, who are both South Africa internationals, on loan. Jali's agent, Mike Makaab recently confirmed that this client is set to leave Oostende at the end of the season with the former Pirates anchorman's current contract due to expire on 30th of June 2018.

Vincent Pule, KC will be a better option for him since they are good with young stars they can help him reach his full potential. I will advice Xola Mlambo to opt for Pirates since Andile Jali left the team there has been a huge gap in the middle so I don't see much competition for him. As for Billiat should nothing abroad comes up, its better he stays with Mamelodi Sundows.

I don't think My Bucks will sign any new player. It does not look like it. Let's not promise ourselves something that is not there. Other teams are busy reinforcing their squads to contest both the league and Africa championships while my team is fast asleep. To tell the truth we have quantity rather than quality. that is why it is difficult for us to be consistent in scoring goals and winning cups.
