Wits Trio To Pave Way For Hlatshwayo’s Pirates Switch?
Three Wits Players Could Pave The Way For Thulani Hlatshwayo’s Orlando Pirates Move.
The arrival of Bidvest Wits’ new signings could open the door for Thulani Hlatshwayo to join Orlando Pirates.
Wits confirmed earlier this week that the club has signed both Robyn Johannes and Denis Weidlich on on pre-contracts, and Edwin Gyimah on a deal that will see him join The Students in January. It was subsequently reported that Weidlich would be joining the Clever Boys in January too.
All three players can play at centre back and although Johannes is only expected to join at the end of the season, the two additional players will add the cover to Coach Gavin Hunt’s back line and potentially open the door for Hlatshwayo to leave the club.
Hlatshwayo has been linked with a move to the Buccaneers since last year, and the Siya crew revealed earlier today that the Soweto giants had escalated their interest in the 28-year-old Bafana Bafana international.
Sources have now indicated to the Siya crew that the arrival of the new signings have created an opportunity for Bucs to negotiate for Hlatshwayo’s signature with Bucs.
The crew will continue to investigate and keep you updated on the latest dealings.
