Celtic To Be Saved By Former Owners?
Bloemfontein Celtic’s struggles have been well publicised of late with Max Tshabalala looking to sell the club, with a recent player strike being just another problem that has hit the team.
The club recently hired Steve Komphela as Veselin Jelusic’s successor following the Serbian’s resignation, although he hasn’t had too much time with his new troops, given the reported issue surrounding unpaid wages.
Now, with the players’ back in training once again, the Siya crew has been informed that Ikie and Jimmy Augousti are close to buying back the club that they sold to Tshabalala back in 2014.
Fans of the club are eager to see them remain in Bloemfontein rather than have their franchise sold and moved elsewhere in the country, and the Augousti brothers could well be the answer that they were looking for.
However, while Siya sources revealed that the deal is close to being sealed, speaking in the most recent issue of Soccer Laduma, Ikie Augousti said, “It’s just speculation, that’s all it is.”
The Siya crew will continue to investigate the matter to see if Tshabalala does indeed manage to sell the club before the 2018/19 season gets underway.
