Bibo’s Second Chance, Arrives At New Club For Training

Thandani 'Bibo' Ntshumayelo's mission to get back into the Premier Soccer League began today as he started training with a new club in the Absa Premiership.
It was confirmed last week that the 28-year-old midfielder had been given permission to play again after he successfully appealed a four-year ban for cocaine use, with the South African Institute for Drug-Free Sport (SAIDS) reducing his sentence to two years – which he has already served.
Now, with a number of clubs already said to have enquired about the situation of former Orlando Pirates man, the Siya crew has been informed that he started training with Bidvest Wits today as Gavin Hunt gives him the chance to get back in shape.
Hunt and ‘Bibo’ go a long way back, having worked together at SuperSport United, and the coach looks to have offered him an olive branch after a tough two years away from the game.
It remains to be seen whether Ntshumayelo will manage to secure himself a contract in Braamfontein, however, it is thought that – for now at least – the club is just giving him the opportunity to train with them.
Meanwhile, as previously reported by the Siya crew, Varsity Football star, Tebogo Mandyu of the University of Johannesburg, also started training with Wits today as he seeks to secure a professional deal.
