The Siya crew reported recently that both Free State Stars and Witbank Spurs had earmarked the 22-year-old as a potential target following a number of fine performances for the University of Johannesburg in recent weeks, though they look to have been beaten to the punch by Bidvest Wits.
According to Siya sources, Mandyu could begin training with the Clever Boys on Monday as he looks to try and impress Gavin Hunt and his technical team, with the midfielder free to sign outside of the window due to him not having a professional contract elsewhere.
Mandyu scored three goals for UJ during their march into the semi-finals of the tournament, and only tasted defeat in 90 minutes once as they were beaten by Wits University via a penalty shootout on Thursday evening.
