Sekhukhune United and AmaZulu are some of the clubs believed to have showed interest in the centre-back as he entered into the last six months of his deal with the Western Cape outfit.
According to sources, despite attempts to deflect interest from potential suitors, Stellies have so far failed to reach an agreement with the towering defender.

“Stellenbosch hasn’t yet reached an agreement with Sibusiso Mthethwa regarding the extension of his contract. There are issues that the parties are not agreeing on and one of those is the length of the proposed new deal,” said the source.
Mthethwa has made nine appearances under coach Steve Barker in the DStv Premiership so far this season and will be aiming to improve on that when the season resumes.
