The Siya crew has been informed that DStv Premiership outfit Swallows FC turned down an offer to sign a player who was recently on the books of TS Galaxy.
Defender Xolani Slawula is currently a free agent after leaving Galaxy just a few months into his stay with the club. The 26-year-old signed for Galaxy from GladAfrica Championship outfit Uthongathi and the Rockets had high hopes for him, but his stay was short lived.
According to information received by the Siya crew, the former AmaZulu man was not part of Galaxy coach Sead Ramovic’s plans this season, which is why the club decided to end his stay towards the end of last year, along with Ghanaian striker Mohammed Anas, who is also on the lookout for a new club.
It’s understood that Slawula was recently offered to the Dube Birds, as he looks to get back to professional football in the January transfer window.
The Siya crew has been led to believe that the Soweto outfit, however, turned down the opportunity to sign the player.
As a free agent, Slawula can sign for a club even after the transfer window closes at the end of January.
