Siya sources in the know have revealed that SuperSport United could intensify their interest in a Bidvest Wits midfielder.
It was confirmed in the week that Dean Furman will be leaving Matsatsantsa at the end of the 2019/20 season, with the club now set to be on the lookout for a player to fill the gap.
As reported in this week’s edition of Soccer Laduma, SuperSport could turn their attention to Thabang Monare, a midfielder that they have been linked to last year.
Monare’s contract with Wits comes to an end on June 30, this year; however, the club does have an added one-year option set in place on his deal, which they will likely exercise in the coming months.
The club also previously offered the player a new deal, which he subsequently turned down, amidst interest from Kaizer Chiefs.
However, it remains to be seen whether SuperSport will look to approach Wits for the player’s services, although indications are that should the player make the move away from the Braamfontein-outfit, it could only be at the end of the season.
