Striker Decision Imminent After Brockie’s Downs Move
SuperSport United Experiencing Striker Conundrum
SuperSport United are working around the clock to sort the issue in the striking department of Eric Tinkler’s team.
Following the move by Jeremy Brockie to Mamelodi Sundowns, SuperSport have been left with a void to fill in their current squad.
While the search for Brockie’s replacement is ongoing, SuperSport are believed to have changed their minds about the future of Kingston Nkhatha.
As previously reported, as confirmed by sources in the know, Nkhatha has been facing an uncertain future with SuperSport, with an indication that the Zimbabwean was likely to be offloaded in the current transfer window.
The former Kaizer Chiefs striker will see his contract with Matsatsantsa expire at the end of the season.
Following Brockie’s move to Downs, it is believed that the club could decide to keep Nkhatha at the club for the remainder of his deal.
While he was earlier linked to Cape Town City, it now seems that SuperSport will hold onto the 32-year-old forward until the end of the 2017/18 campaign, as reported in edition 1057 of Soccer Laduma.
