Rusike Spotted In JHB, Transfer Now Close

SuperSport United and Maritzburg United are believed to have agreed on terms in principle over the transfer of Evans Rusike, with the striker being spotted in Johannesburg today.
The Siya crew reported earlier this morning that the Zimbabwean striker was high up on SuperSport’s list of priorities before the transfer window closes and that they planned to make a last-ditch attempt to land him from the Team of Choice.
Now, according to Siya sources, the two clubs have agreed to a deal in principle, believed to be a cash plus player transfer, with Rusike in Gauteng today in an attempt to finalise personal terms and get the move over the line.
Matsatsantsa have been on the hunt for a new striker following the exit of Jeremy Brockie for Mamelodi Sundowns and will be using a portion of that income to fund their move for the Zimbabwean hitman.
Rusike has seven Absa Premiership goals for the season so far, including five in his last eight games for Fadlu Davids’ outfit.
SuperSport have until midnight tomorrow to finalise the move before the window slams shut.
