SuperSport United are currently leading the race to sign one of Mamelodi Sundowns’ defenders.
As previously reported by the Siya crew, Orlando Pirates were showing interest in the services of Thabo Nthethe, with Chippa United believed to have also entered the race for the player’s signature.
However, according to the latest news from Siya sources, SuperSport have shown a keen interest in landing the signature of the experienced defender, with Maritzburg United also believed to have enquired about his services.
Matsatsantsa have recently extended the contracts of veteran centre backs, Morgan Gould and Clayton Daniels, with the club also confirming that Denwin Farmer is set to join Maritzburg at the end of the 2017/18 season.
Now it seems that the Tshwane giants want to add yet another experienced centre back to their books, with Siya sources revealing that talks are currently underway for the 33-year-old.
Now, it remains to be seen where the player’s next destination will be, with the club expected to make an announcement before the clock strikes midnight today, January 31.
