Orlando Pirates and SuperSport United are showing a keen interest in the services of Amr Gamal who is currently on the books of Bidvest Wits.
The 26-year-old, who is contracted to Egyptian giants, Al Ahly, is currently in the final six months of his one-year loan stint with the Clever Boys.
Gamal has since fallen down the pecking order at the club, with the striker recently being dropped by Head Coach Gavin Hunt in the team’s last two Absa Premiership fixtures.
As reported earlier by the Siya crew, Gamal has been absent from training today, with Siya sources indicating that a decision about his immediate future could be made before the transfer window closes on Wednesday, January 31.
The crew has since been informed that Pirates and SuperSport are showing interest in the player, with indications that a move to either one of these sides could materialise in the coming days.
Both Pirates at SuperSport currently have a foreign quota spot available, should either side manage to bring the Egyptian international on board.
However, in order for a move elsewhere to materialise for the player, both Wits and Gamal’s parent club, Al Ahly will have to be involved in the decision regarding where the player’s next destination will be.
The Siya crew will investigate and keep you updated.
