Two former Kaizer Chiefs players could be on their way to earning deals in the coming days, as Absa Premiership clubs prepare to return to action, with the FIFA international break coming to an end.
With AmaZulu set to resume their campaign against former African champions Mamelodi Sundowns in the Telkom Knockout next weekend, the ex-Chiefs duo of Mario Booysen and Tsepo Masilela could be nearing deals at the Durban-based club.
The two defenders are said to be doing well in impressing Usuthu coach Jozef Vukusic for potential deals.
After the Siya crew reported that Booysen is appearing to be closing in on a deal at AmaZulu, indication is that the KwaZulu-Natal club might, in fact, decide to offer both the experienced players deals for the Slovakian coach’s centre-back and left-back positions in his team.
Furthermore, with league matches set to come thick and fast after the break, AmaZulu are seeing a need to reinforce the squad with experience as part of the plan to increase the team’s chances of accumulating points to move away from the relegation zone.
