According to Siya sources in the know, Simphiwe Mtsweni is facing uncertain future at the KwaZulu-Natal club. Mtsweni has been with Usuthu since August last year, having joined the club from a stint with Free State Stars.

The left back did not have the best of seasons with Usuthu under coach Cavin Johnson with only 11 league starts for him from the team’s first 12 matches of the season, and has been out of the team since.

The 23-year-old, whose journey to professional football started with Amakhosi back in 2013, could be one of the players to leave AmaZulu at the end of the season, according to sources.

The Embalenhle-born player was signed on a two-and-a-half-year deal when he joined AmaZulu last August.
