Maritzburg United are set to announce a partnership with a German club, the Siya crew can reveal.
As previously reported by Soccer Laduma, German side, Arminia Bielefeld, expressed interest in a Premier Soccer League partner for the purpose of developing football at grassroots level.
After previous activations with digital coaching clinics and training sessions for kids from South Africa, Arminia has since expanded its commitment to football in the country.
The KZN outfit are set to announce joining forces with the Bundesliga club today, which will see players benefit from the partnership.
Maritzburg coach and former Arminia mentor Ernst Middendorp played a huge role in the facilitation of the deal.
The club has since made the official announcement this afternoon.
