The future of Soumahoro Bangaly is still up in the air, with the player recently joining a DStv Premiership club to train.
The Siya crew recently reported that the big Ivorian defender has been training with Mamelodi Sundowns' Tshwane rivals SuperSport United, though a final decision is yet to be made on what will happen next in the player's career.
Bangaly was no longer training with the Sundowns first team in the early stages of the current campaign, with the clear knowledge that he was no longer in the plans of the technical team led by co-coaches Manqoba Mngqithi and Rulani Mokwena. Going into the current campaign, the defender had one year left on his deal with Sundowns.
And while his agent Steve Kapulushnik confirmed that the Ivorian has been training with SuperSport, there was no indication on whether his contract at Chloorkop had been terminated.
Last season, the 30-year-old featured only six times for Sundowns, spending the better part of the campaign watching the side's league-winning run from the outside.
A decision is yet to be made by SuperSport whether or not the club will bring the defender on board.
