Mamelodi Sundowns have recently extended the contracts of two of their first team players and Soccer Laduma takes a look at the players in the final year of their stay at the club.
The Brazilians confirmed new deals for Ricardo Nascimento, who put pen to paper on an extended three-year contract, while Siphelele Mkhulise signed a five-year deal.
However, there are currently five of Sundowns’ first team players who are in the last year of their deals at the club.
Laffor has been heavily linked with a move away from Sundowns prior to the July/August transfer window. However, Head Coach Pitso Mosimane has been utilizing the player’s services in the CAF Champions League. The Liberian will see his contract with Masandawana coe to an end on June 30, 2019.
Mohomi has not seen much game-time with the Brazilians, however, played a full 90-minute encounter for Sundowns in the semi-final of the MTN8 competition. Mohomi is also in the final year of his contract, having been linked with a move away from the club recently.
The goalkeeper will also see his stay with Sundowns come to an end on June 30, 2019, having also been linked with a move away following loan stints with Free State Stars.
Vilakazi is also in the final year of his contract, however, according to unconfirmed reports, the player has an added two-year option set in place.
The centre-back was not registered for the 2018/19 campaign following an injury and being linked with an exit. However, Soumahoro will see his stay with Sundowns come to an end on June 30, next year.
