The January transfer window is just over two months away and there are at least six defenders currently linked to some of the biggest clubs in Mzansi.
The domestic campaign will resume action this weekend following the FIFA break, as teams in the Absa Premiership get back to competing for both the league title and also the Telkom Knockout cup.

However, indications are that these clubs are still looking to bolster their squads in the upcoming January transfer window, as the competition for honours keep strengthening every season. Soccer Laduma takes a look at up to six of the defenders who are being monitored by other clubs in South Africa’s top flight.
Edmilson Dove:
Although Cape Town City’s chairman, John Comitis has revealed that Dove’s next move will be abroad, Siya sources have revealed that Mamelodi Sundowns are still showing interest in the player.
Thamsanqa Mkhize:
As reported in this week’s edition of Soccer Laduma, Siya sources have revealed that City could be keen on opening discussions with the highest bidder for Mkhize’s services and Sundowns are also believed to be possibly one of them.
Buhle Mkhwanazi:
Siya sources have revealed that Sundowns are also keeping a close eye on Mkhwanazi from Bidvest Wits.
Sifiso Mbhele:
According to Siya sources in the know, Kaizer Chiefs are believed to be monitoring Mbhele from Highlands Park, as they are also believed to be considering bolstering their centre-back position.
Justice Chabalala:
Siya sources have revealed that Chabalala has attracted new suitors, with AmaZulu FC believed to be monitoring the player’s situation at Orlando Pirates.
