Siphelele Mthembu is yet to have his future with Free State Stars decided, although the club is expecting to begin talks with him soon.
The former Kaizer Chiefs striker’s contract with the Bethlehem club is set to expire at the end of the month. As reported by the Siya crew, Ea Lla Koto are believed to be keen on landing Eleazar Rodgers who is said to be on his way out of Bidvest Wits, as part of the changes for coach Luc Eymael's team.
Stars have already confirmed the departures of Mohammed Anas and Katlego Mashego.
While sources have indicated that Mthembu could also be facing an uncertain future at the club, Stars’ general manager Rantsi Mokoena confirmed to the Siya crew that a meeting has been scheduled for the striker for next week.
“I will talk to Mthembu on Monday. As we speak now, he doesn’t have a contract. It’s (the contract) coming to an end at the end of the month. But we’ll talk when he gets here,” said Mokoena.
