Chiefs Track Stars’ Dribbling Whizz
Kaizer Chiefs are the latest club to show an interest in Free State Stars attacker, Sinethemba Jantjie, following a number of impressive performances.
Jantije, who averages more dribbles per game (2.8) than every Absa Premiership player other than Amigo Memela (2.9), came into his own in March and April after recovering from injury, grabbing an assist against Orlando Pirates last month.
As reported in this week’s issue of Soccer Laduma, the Siya crew has been informed that the Amakhosi, as well as Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns, are all keeping close tabs on the attacker.
Despite the interest though, Rantsi Mokoena, Stars’ General Manager, explained that none of the clubs have made any official contact as of yet, telling the crew, “No one from those teams has spoken to me about him and right now our focus is on survival and not on selling players.”
The 28-year-old now has four more games to try and impress any potential suitors even further, however, his main focus will be on making sure Ea Lla Koto stay in the top-flight for next season.
