The 33-year-old is currently a free agent and while he is not restricted by the transfer window, he can move outside the window because he is a free agent and indications are that he could sign in January.
According to Siya sources, AmaZulu have identified the former Kaizer Chiefs right back as a target. It is believed that the KwaZulu-Natal side wants to reinforce their defensive structures with experience and that Gaxa fits that requirement.
Gaxa last played for Bidvest Wits last season, following his successful spell with the Amakhosi. He left the Soweto giants in shocking circumstances, as Chiefs released him from his contract despite having confirmed months earlier that they had agreed to extend his stay.

AmaZulu currently have Thembela Sikhakhane, who is on loan from Orlando Pirates, as their preferred right back, and Gaxa would add depth to the position, should he join.
