He’s in the best form of his life at the moment, having banged in goals for SuperSport United this season, but should Orlando Pirates or Mamelodi Sundowns be looking at Bradley Grobler?
The 32-year-old forward is in the running for this season’s Golden Boot award as he hopes to add to his 12-goal haul and take aim at Gabadinho Mhango’s current tally of 14, and his form in 2019/20 has seen him linked with two of the country’s biggest football clubs.
It has previously been reported that the former Ajax Cape Town man had made his way onto the radar of both the Buccaneers and Masandawana, as they looked at fresh options for their strikeforce, and there was talk of a move to Chloorkop back in January that – in the end – failed to materialise.
Gary Cassisa, of Mede8 Sports, confirmed in the latest issue of Soccer Laduma that they are hoping to secure an improved package for the player given his goal return this season, but insists that he’s focused on finishing the season with a bang.
Cassisa told the crew, “Based on Brad’s current performance, there will be clubs interested at the end of the season if SuperSport don’t come to the party. So we’ll see what happens, at the end of the season, for now he’s focused on ending this season strongly and helping SuperSport finish as high as possible in the league.”
Grobler has scored 15 goals in all competitions so far in 2019/20, and is enjoying the best season of his career to date after overcoming his injury issues of past years.
