Stars To Exercise Option On Chiefs Target
Should Kaizer Chiefs Push The Boat Out For Nyiko Mobbie?
Free State Stars are expected to exercise an option on Nyiko Mobbie, a player whose form has caught the eye of Kaizer Chiefs of late.
The Siya crew reported in this week’s issue of Soccer Laduma that Chiefs are eager to try and sign the talented 23-year-old from Ea Lla Koto, with the full back having put in a number of impressive performances over the course of the season.
Mobbie’s current contract with Stars is due to expire at the end of the current season, however Siya sources have revealed that the club have a two-year option on the defender, an option that they are expected to exercise in the coming weeks.
Chiefs are believed to have earmarked Kgotso Moleko as a player that could be used in a potential swap deal having seen him fall down the pecking order at the club, but the crew has been informed that Stars are reticent to let Mobbie leave at all.
With that in mind, it will take an offer that is too good to turn down for Stars to even consider letting one of their key players leave the club, and the fact that he will have two years left on his deal means that the ball is fully in their court.
Should Chiefds break the bank for Mobbie’s signature?
