Ex-Stars Coach To Join Komphela At Chiefs?
Serame Letsoaka Could Join Up With Steve Komphela At Kaizer Chiefs
Former Bloemfontein Celtic and Free State Stars head coach, Serame Letsoaka, has been linked with a move to Kaizer Chiefs as one of Steve Komphela’s assistants.
Chiefs have already made new acquisitions for both their technical team and playing staff ahead of the 2017/18 season, with Patrick Mabedi having been brought in to replace the outgoing John Paintsil.
Teenage Hadebe, Philani Zulu and Bhongolethu Jayiya have been brought in on the playing side of things and it appears that the club’s management may not be done with their new signings in either department.
As reported in the latest issue of Soccer Laduma, Letsoaka could be brought in to assist Komphela and Mabedi, with the former South African youth coach currently a free agent after leaving Ea Lla Koto.
It remains to be seen whether Chiefs will make a move to bring Letsoaka on board, however, if they do then it will serve them well to do it quickly as their pre-season camp is already underway.
Soccer Laduma attempted to contact Chiefs’ Corporate Communications Manager, Vina Maphosa, for comment on Letsoaka’s link with the club but had received no response by the time of going to print.
Komphela and Letsoaka worked together at national team level in the past.
