Thabo Rakhale is set to lead a player exodus at Sekhukhune United, as the ambitious club concludes preparations for the second round of the season.
Having announced three new signings in this transfer window in former Orlando Pirates and Cape Town City striker Justin Shonga, as well as ex-SuperSport United forward Evans Rusike and Luckyboy Mokoena who previously played for TS Galaxy, Babina Noko have started identifying the players who will no longer form part of the team going forward.
As confirmed by sources close to the club, Rakhale will be joined by Ryan de Jongh, Thabang Sibanyoni and Nicholus Lukhubeni, who are understood to be on the list of outgoing players.
“Sekhukhune United is finalising talks for the release of at least four players from the club’s current squad and those players are Thabo Rakhale, Ryan de Jongh, Thabang Sibanyoni and Nicholus Lukhubeni,” said the source.
“Lukhubeni and Sibanyoni were on loan from Sundowns but a decision has now been taken to part ways with them. Rakhale and De Jongh are being released because they are no longer in the plans of the technical team,” the source added.
