One more club from overseas has joined the race for the services of Maritzburg United’s Lebohang Maboe.
It was recently reported by the Siya crew that the Maritzburg starlet has attracted interest from K.V. Oostende in Belgium.
The latest information reaching the crew, as reported in edition 1079 of Soccer Laduma, is that Qarabag FK, who plays in the Azerbaijan Premier League, are keen on the player too.
Qarabag is the same club that Dino Ndlovu played for before his move to Zhejiang Greentown FC in China, in January.
While the news of Qarabag’s interest in the 23-year-old has just come to light, Siya sources have indicated that the club has been tracking the player since January.
Maboe is still under contract with Maritzburg for at least another year, according to the Siya crew’s records. The deal is set to expire in June of 2019, although there is an option in place for the KwaZulu-Natal to extend for one more year.
According to sources, Qarabag have done their investigation on the player’s contractual obligations and are aware that Maboe is left with one year on his existing contract with Maritzburg.
However, it is in all likelihood that the option will be exercised by the Team of Choice to secure the player’s future, while also keen on listening to offers for his services.
