Siya sources close to the South African Football Association (SAFA) have stated that there has been no formal approach for Stuart Baxter, although have not indicated if they would stand in his way, should there be an official advance for his services.

Baxter has been linked with SuperSport United, Kaizer Chiefs and with a move abroad, though is under contract with the FA. SAFA have made it clear that the coach is fully committed to Bafana Bafana, though gave no indication if they would be opposed to his exit.
“No one has come and discussed formally with the FA regarding Baxter’s services. No club both locally and internationally has said anything to SAFA,” said a source close to SAFA.
“The coach hasn’t said anything and remains committed to helping Bafana qualify for next year’s AFCON.”
It is believed that Chiefs want the English mentor back at the club, should the opportunity arise, with the Soweto giants yet to appoint a new coach ahead of the 2018/19 campaign.
The Bafana mentor is currently on holiday with his family during the off-season. Bafana Bafana are scheduled to take on Seychelles in September in an AFCON qualifier.
