SAFA NEC To Convene On Elective Congress Date
SAFA NEC to meet on Saturday to table new elective congress date
Regional members of the South African Football Association National Executive Committee will convene today to decide on a new date for the Presidential elective congress.
It was previously reported by Soccer Laduma that SAFA NEC members were close to setting a new date for the elective congress after the original 24 March 2018 date was postponed.
“All the members of SAFA’s NEC will convene and decide on a new date to elect the new SAFA President,” revealed a source close to the FA.
Furthermore, the crew can also report that as part of a recommendation by the new electoral committee, which will be conducting the voting process, no one will be able to challenge the new date proposed this coming Saturday.
Current SAFA President Dr Danny Jordaan still remains unopposed to be re-elected for a second term at the FA’s top seat.
The road to the elective congress has endured numerous scandals ranging from the eligibility of candidates to recent rape allegations against Jordaan.
The Siya crew will continue to report on any developments.
