Word reaching the Siya crew is SAFA are in the process of lining up an international friendly with a big European country for the upcoming FIFA break.

The Siya crew has previously reported that the South African Football Association is eyeing highly ranked national teams to help Bafana Bafana prepare for their upcoming 2019 African Cup of Nation qualifiers which resume in September.

Siya sources previously revealed that among the targets that SAFA have lined-up include the 2019 AFCON host country, Cameroon. The Siya crew can now confirm that SAFA are currently in talks with a European country to play Bafana in the next FIFA break.

“The FA is currently in discussion with a European FA to organise a match for Bafana,” said the Siya source.

“SAFA is serious about getting Bafana to play top opponents as this is one of the ways to improve the national team,” added the source.

Meanwhile, the crew earlier revealed that the South African FA had been sent an invite from Thailand to participate in the King’s Cup in Bangkok.
