Mokwena Happy As Chiefs Rumours Swirl

Orlando Pirates’ Rulani Mokwena has been the talk of the town in recent weeks, but despite talk of interest from other clubs, it seems he’s got no intentions of moving on.
There had been rumours that Free State Stars were keen on bringing in Pirates’ assistant coach as the successor to Luc Eymael, while the latest word on the street was that Kaizer Chiefs were being linked with a move, in case anything changes with Giovanni Solinas.
However, according to Siya sources, Mokwena is currently more than happy at Pirates working alongside Milutin Sredojevic, and any talk of an exit from the club is being dealt with as mere speculation.
It is thought that Pirates see Mokwena, who is currently assistant coach, as a future head coach of the club in years to come, and for that reason he is unlikely to be seeking any sort of new pastures as he continues to learn his trade under the guidance of ‘Micho’ in Soweto at present.
A source said to the crew, “Of course there are always enquiries about Rulani because everybody knows what he’s capable of, but he’s got no intention of leaving Pirates.”
