News reaching the Siya crew is that Royal AM have not given up on their case regarding promotion to the topflight.
The 2020/21 GladAfrica Championship season was decided by a court after the league could not decide on which team would end the season as champions, with Sekhukhune and Royal AM both contesting for automatic promotion to the DStv Premiership.
The KZN outfit decided to boycott the promotion play-offs which resulted in the club being charged by the League. Royal lost the case, with plans to take the matter to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
The Premier Soccer League confirmed to member clubs at the AGM on Thursday that Royal has taken the matter to CAS.
According to the insiders, the date for the hearing has been set, with SAFA, NSL, Sekhukhune United, Polokwane City, Richards Bay FC and Chippa United all expected to be present when proceedings begin.
It understood that the KZN-based side is of the opinion that the club was treated unfairly and aims to find justice on the matter.
