The Siya crew has been informed that Royal AM are set to make a number of changes to the club’s technical team.
As reported by the Siya crew, Royal AM have been using the AFCON break to get their house in order, with a number of the club’s players having parted ways with the KZN outfit, while more players are set to follow.
Although indications are that the changes at the club is not limited to the playing personnel.
The latest news coming out of KZN is that Royal AM could part ways with several members of their technical team, with only head coach John Maduka and assistant coach Abram Nteo are expected to be spared.
Siya sources informed the crew that some of the casualties could include Ditheko Mothoto and goalkeeper coach Simon Gopane amongst others.
After a tumultuous start to the season, the Siya crew reported that coach Maduka’s head was on the chopping block at the Kwa-Zulu Natal-based club, which had already started looking for his replacement at the time.
However, subsequent results saw Maduka and Royal AM turn the tide as they managed to put together a fine string of results that saw the Malawian retain his job, with the club sitting in a comfortable seventh position on the DStv Premiership standings.
The Siya crew reached out to the club spokesperson Ndu Ngcobo who would not confirm or deny anything but referred all queries to the club CEO Sinky Mnisi.
The crew subsequently reached out to Mnisi who would not comment on the matter at the time.
Royal AM resume their domestic campaign with a home fixture against fellow newbies Sekhukhune United on 15 February.
