The Siya crew can reveal that SA-under 20 youth captain Rowan Human is close to completing a move abroad.
According to Siya sources, Human is nearing a deal with Israeli giants, Maccabi Tel Aviv.
The talented youngster, who has been a sensation since making his first team debut for Bidvest Wits during the 2019/20 campaign, has been hotly linked to Mamelodi Sundowns as well as Kaizer Chiefs.
It is understood that Human was one of the players who opted against relocation to Venda with Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila, who acquired the top flight status of Wits.
After playing a starring role for the Clever Boys, including scoring his first professional goal against AmaZulu, the 19-year-old was tipped to make a move to Naturena.
Human jetted out of the country some time last week, where he is expected to sign on the dotted line for coach Giorgos Donis' side, who are believed to have been tracking the player for some time.
The move is seen a stepping stone for the highly-rated youngster, who has often been compared to his compatriot, Steven Pienaar.
Contrary to local reports, stating that the player has signed a one-year deal, it is understood that Human has been identified by the Israeli champions as a future prospect, that they could possibly build their team around and will be offered a long-term deal by the Yellows.
Should he complete his move, Human will be making history by becoming the first South African to turn out for the Israeli Premier League giants.
Despite efforts from the crew, the player's representative was unavailable for comment at the time of publishing.
