Maritzburg Keen On Former Atletico Starlet
Maritzburg United will not be resting on their laurels after a record-breaking season in the Absa Premiership, with a former Atletico Madrid youngster now on their radar.
The Team of Choice finished fourth in the top-flight this season – the highest position in the club’s history – with Fadlu Davids putting together a young team that put in some impressive performances over the course of the campaign.
While they have lost Bevan Fransman to Highlands Park ahead of the new campaign, the club has remained adamant that they will not be letting any of their young stars go, despite the fact that the vultures are already circling for the likes of Siphesihle Ndlovu and Lebo Maboe.
Now, as they begin their preparations for the new season, the Siya crew has been informed that they are weighing up a possible move for Malawi international, Robin Ngalande, who recently parted ways with Baroka FC.
The 25-year-old attacker, who was on Atletico's books as a youngster, has reportedly attracted interest from TP Mazembe, although Maritzburg are thought to be considering a move for him given the fact that he is a free agent and has now been in South Africa for some time.
