A former Mamelodi Sundowns defender has emerged as a target for Black Leopards, who appear to be looking to further reinforce their squad for the remainder of the season.
News reaching the Siya crew is that Rheece Evans has emerged as a target for Leopards, with the Limpopo outfit keen on increasing their chances of moving further up on the PSL log standings by adding quality to their squad.
The 28-year-old defender has been without a club since receiving his clearance from Sundowns last year, following his return to the Chloorkop club from a loan stint with Ajax Cape Town.
Having managed to sign striker Thokozani Sekotlong on loan from Sundowns, among their additions to the squad in January, Lidoda Duvha are believed to have their sights on Evans for strengthening Dylan Kerr’s team for the remaining matches of the campaign, according to sources.
With Leopards' right-back Marks Munyai facing an uncertain future with the club, after he and Phathutshedzo Nange signed pre-contract Highlands Park and Bidvest Wits respectively, the Limpopo outfit is said to be looking at Evans as a potential replacement for their captain.
