Sundowns Agree Terms For Ex-Amakhosi Stopper!
Word reaching the Siya crew is that a fee has been agreed for the transfer of Reyaad Pieterse from SuperSport United to Mamelodi Sundowns, with an announcement now imminent.
It was reported earlier today that a move for the shot-stopper was on the cards as Pitso Mosimane looks to bolster his goalkeeping department, and it now appears that the move could be as good as done.
Siya sources have suggested that a figure has been agreed between the two clubs, while the player has been offered a deal that could see him through until 2023.
SuperSport admitted that they were open to the idea of letting Pieterse leave given the fact that he had just one year left on his deal with Matsatsantsa, and despite interest from his former club, Kaizer Chiefs, it looks as thought Masandawana will win the race for his signature.
If Pieterse does – as expected – complete a move to Chloorkop this week, then he will be battling it out with the likes of Denis Onyango for the number one spot at the club in the 2018/19 season.
The 26-year-old South African international only has the Telkom Knockout left to win on a domestic basis, and will no doubt see Sundowns as a way of trying to develop on a continental stage too.
