A midfielder reportedly on the radar of Kaizer Chiefs for a potential move has commented on latest link with the Soweto giants.
Following Baroka FC’s decision to replace Mduduzi Mdantsane with Gerald Phiri Jnr as the team’s new captain, reports linking the midfielder with a move to Amakhosi have further been fuelled.

Mdantsane, 24, has been linked with Chiefs since the end of last season, this after the central midfielder amassed 23 starts in Baroka’s Absa Premiership campaign, while he also led the Limpopo-based outfit to their maiden topflight trophy with their Telkom Knockout Cup triumph.
With Mdantsane’s future at Bakgaga hanging in the balance, as he will see his contract with the club come to an end in June, a potential return to Naturena for him has been bandied about, according to sources, as reported in edition 1152 of Soccer Laduma.

However, Mdantsane told the Siya crew that nothing has been confirmed and that, at this point in time, the link should be treated as a rumour.
“It’s just rumours for now as my agent hasn’t confirmed anything to me regarding that. I heard about it also, but it isn’t something that my mind is focusing on. As long as I am playing football, that’s all,” said Mdantsane.
As a youngster, Mdantsane had a stint at Naturena, where he featured for the club’s junior teams, before signing a professional contract with Baroka in 2017.
