The Siya crew can confirm that a PSL star is due in court this week, where he faces charges of breaking lockdown regulations, as well as reckless and negligent driving.
Earlier this month, the Siya crew reported that SuperSport United striker Thamsanqa Gabuza, along with a few others were arrested on Sunday 24 May on the N1 in Johannesburg, after clocking a speed of 213/kmh in a 120/kmh zone - as confirmed Chief provincial inspector Obed Sibasa, who is the spokesperson for Gauteng Traffic Police.
The former Orlando Pirates striker along with his passengers spent a night at the Sandton Police station and were released on R1000 bail.
Sibasa confirmed that the former Golden Arrows striker is due in court the first week in July, although he is more than likely to escape jail time, and might get off with a fine, while community service is also a strong possibility for ‘Ghanda-Ghanda’.
The striker has enjoyed a rich vein of form since joining SuperSport in 2019, scoring six goals for the club, three of them being crucial to Kaitano Tembo’s side lifting the MTN8 trophy.
