The PSL’s big three of Kaizer Chiefs, Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates are expected to battle it out in pursuit of Sinethemba Jantjie from Free State Stars.
The speedy winger emerged as one of the best performing and influential players for Ea Lla Koto in the second half of the season.
The indication from sources close to Stars is that the Bethlehem club is expected to be inundated with enquiries for the talented player during the July/August transfer window.
Chiefs, Sundowns and Pirates have shown interest in the attack-minded player, according to sources. Siya sources in the Free State have confirmed that Sundowns and Pirates are leading Chiefs in the chase for the 28-year-old player.
“Sundowns are serious with their interest in the player, as they have been making enquiries about his availability. Expect formal discussions to take place soon,” said the source.
“Chiefs and Pirates are also interested in him. Wits is also showing interest in the boy. You should have seen how he performed against Wits during the 3-1 win for Free State
Stars. He was outstanding,” added the source.
“Expect strong competition from the big clubs that will be trying to get his signature at the end of the season. Pirates’ technical team admire him,” concluded the source.
