A return to Mzansi could be on the cards for a striker who has been in scintillating goalscoring form in Swaziland.
As reported in issue 1075 of Soccer Laduma, Swaziland-based South African striker Charles Molopo will be working on a deal in the PSL during the off-season.
Molapo has been playing well and scoring goals for Malanti Chiefs in the Swaziland Premier League. The 28-year-old scored 17 goals for Chiefs this season. The Balfour-born player has attracted interest from no less than three clubs in Mzansi.
The player’s representative Sibusiso Radebe from Rekaofela Sports Management has confirmed that they are working a deal in the PSL for the player.
“Charles Molopo has been playing for Malanti Chiefs in Swaziland. He scored 17 goals in 24 league games. He’s also been rewarded with a Golden Boot as a top goal scorer,” said Radebe. “Charles is one of the strikers the PSL should look out for. Currently there are three PSL teams that are interested in him,” confirmed the representative. “He was recently training with Tuks (University of Pretoria). As Rekaofela Sports Management, we are proud to say Charles is our player,” he concluded.
